Rolling once again. This roll has a short rhythm that is super square. Every accent lands on a count and just keeps trucking along. The characteristic here is in the tone of the accent. Some are low, some are high, and that’s the thing. Sometimes steps show up that are rhythmically complex, highly syncopated, or have some other deal about them. This one showed up straight forward, not syncopated at all, and challenged me with this: Can I approach a step that has a simple proposition with as much attention and care as those steps that are complex? Well, how did I do?
