Ep. 58 Tap Dance Notes

Explorations in Tap Dance Land

Check out this one. This is a little longer than normal and has a bunch of little nuggets. I even found a break! Not any particular reference this week, other than the rhythmic tradition of South Indian Carnatic music. You can check out the repetition of three in the break that is inspired rhythmic patterning from that tradition. While listening and studying jazz has been foundational to my journey, other musical traditions have had an impact, too! What kind of musical cross training do you do?

Breakdown available here (exclusively for paying subscribers).
