Ep. 55 Tap Dance Notes

Explorations in Tap Dance Land

Back again with another groove! I'm a huge fan of drumlines, and this step gives off some serious drumline vibes. It's not complex, so it won't win any major contests. It is, however, a solid starter. Grooves like this one set the tone, create a foundation, and provide an onramp for soloing. No need for anything fancy to start. Clear and clean sounds, accurate rhythm, and solid pacing are enough to frame the solo that would come. It doesn't hurt that this groove has some crunchiness, dynamics, and movement to it :-)
