Ep. 53 Tap Dance Notes

Explorations in Tap Dance Land

Do you know about Leon Collins? It was a classic step of his that I learned from Savion Glover and Dianne Walker that first introduced me to the idea of back-to-back turns in opposite directions. the idea sounds easy enough, especially at the tempo here. Still, there is a challenge around balance, momentum, and executing the reversal without looking that you're fighting! THEN there is the work to make sure that every side sounds the same. These area all worthy challenges, and does it ever feel good when it all comes together!
