Ep. 31 Tap Dance Notes

Your weekly exploration in Tap Dance Land

The left hand on the snare drum is used to comment, ornament, and otherwise insert ideas within an ongoing groove. The bass drum may be used to do the same by way of accents. The hip terminology used to be "dropping bombs." In tap dance land we can emulate these same ideas but have to do so without the independent limbs that drummers get utilize. This emulation seems to be what this step was going for. A little inserted idea, and a solid bass drum hit. Sometimes that's all I need to get me moving.
