Ep. 13 Tap Dance Notes

Your Weekly Dose of Joy!

When I have a student that asks you if a step they are working on can be done backwards I don’t back down from the challenge. Knowing full well, my body isn’t where it was even 10 years ago, I still say, “Let’s see!” And that is exactly what happened here. A pretty basic rhythm turn (albeit with a pickup leading in), turns into a weird flying step. I would have never thought to do something like this without the ideas of Steve Condos (forward/backward/inverse) AND the curiosity of dancers around me, including my students.
