Here’s one that sounds like something from the Sugar Hill Gang (I’m totally giving away my age with that reference!)…grooves don’t have to be fast, or a flurry of notes, to be fun. This one is solidly in the “medium tempo” world and it still does some nice things. Accents are what give this step a ride so it doesn’t sound flat. This one has a straight quote from Steve Condos, too. If you listen with your eyes closed you may notice that my groove isn’t super solid…YET….Definitely one to work on!!
