Chugs galore should be the nickname of this groove that came up for me as I was listening to a version of “Oh Happy Day” by the Edwin Hawkins Singers - powerful stuff. Anyway, there are a few things happening here that make me take note…the movement of the step (it has a unique ride), the accents and tonal dynamics (change the accents or pitches and the whole step would feel different), and the tension I seem to be holding in my shoulders (I have to work on getting rid of that). Well, that's plenty to work on 🙃🙃🙃
