Sometimes the best story you get out of a trip literally happens on the way there. Last week Identity, was screening at the Dam Short Film Festival in Boulder City, NV. Boulder City was just within striking distance for a road trip, clocking in at about 10 hours of driving depending on the route. I could have flown, but itching for some alone time, and being a fan of long drives, I decided to drive it.
And so it began. With a stocked car – recently tuned, a brand new set of tires, and enough food and water to last days – I left my home. Driving from my home to Boulder City has two options – one through the desert, the other through Salt Lake City. Driving through the desert is quicker. Salt Lake, more habitable.
