Sometimes We Need Institutions
If a task is too big, we need a consolidated amount of power and resources (people, provision, time) to get it done. Consolidation often happens in well organized institutions. Institutions are built with an express purpose of consolidating time and energy for a particular task (or mission). This is good.
There is caution to be had here. It is important to be specific about what tasks exactly are too big. If an institution is built for a task better suited for a different kind of organized structure there can be a distortion of the dynamic between and value of people, provision, and time. Additionally, if the tasks within an institution are not clearly defined institutions will begin operating in areas that smaller less hierarchical structures would easily do. This is bad.
