In my recent interview with Christian Harbin one of the central themes that emerged was the idea of joy. It was interesting that the theme emerged not in the sense of a pursuit, but rather an experience. Joy as something that we are given. In this sense the lack of joy is might be seen as having something taken away (or not given). Whether by work, concern, worry, grief, or some other overwhelming experience, joy – a pervasive sense of well-being – can be the casualty.
Our question this week is meant to do two things. First, it is meant to help us remember what experiences bring us joy. Second, it may bring to light those things that are preventing us from experiencing joy. So, we ask:
What does joy look like for you?
