This week’s note admittedly stretched me. I am definitely not at a point in my own life in which my first inclination in every situation is towards peace. I have my moments where that happens, of course, but I want more. For what it’s worth, I consider my own failings to begin with a lack of imagination. I’ve been so formed in relationships where punitive competition, anger, and revenge often ruled, that it’s hard for me to envision what peace looks like sometimes. Then again, if I can, I am too entrenched in the relational dynamic to interrupt the habit. I find myself at a loss of intention and means. Well, vision, intention, and means are key ingredients to change, and they are exactly what the questions in this week’s AtQ are going to explore.
