Reflection is a huge part of growing. Not simply the act of pausing and taking time to look back, but the act of looking at things from a different vantage point, offers invaluable perspective. Reflection used to be very hard for me. Whenever I tried, my perfectionist tendencies used to have their way with my emotions as thoughts of everything I didn’t do would upstage all the things I did. The person who I wanted to be but was not yet, used to take center stage. Thankfully, much of that has changed – the how of which I’m sure we’ll get into in a future installment of AtQ.

This week, we’re going to engage with some pointed questions that may get our minds thinking towards thankfulness as we reflect. Take this one especially slowly, even as we are remembering who and what we may be thankful for, there is the risk of taking the someones or somethings for granted.
