In this episode of Talking Notes [LINK] Andrew and special guest Eva Ting talk about practices as a way “to do what we can” in the process of transformation. Even further, the idea that practices do not directly make the transformation happen. They are not direct action. Rather, they position us for the possibility of transformation to occur. The actual inner transformation being ultimately facilitated by God.
In today’s Asking the Questions we’ll be digging into how the idea of positioning may help us discover the practices we can press into service for the transformation of our own lives. For the follower of Jesus, this discovery can be a prayerful process – that is, something we do in conversation with Jesus. The questions here are just meant to get that conversation going. I’ve added separate questions for the follower of Jesus to prompt that conversation more directly.
